What is smelter pot?

A smelter pot, also known as a melting pot, is a container made of heat-resistant materials such as iron, steel, or ceramic, used for melting metals at extremely high temperatures. Smelter pots are commonly used in mining and metallurgy industries for the smelting process, which involves heating metallic ores to obtain the pure metal.

These pots can withstand temperatures exceeding 1,200°C (2,200°F) and are usually cylindrical in shape. They are fitted with a lid that can be removed to add or remove the metal, and they may have a spout for pouring molten metal into molds or casting machines.
